As well as helping our Cubs you’ll help with them on outdoor visits, adventures and, of course, camps – all according to your personal schedule. You’ll help Cubs offer a positive environment for people from all faiths, beliefs and abilities. In return you’ll learn new skills, develop your leadership abilities and play an active role in giving young people a great start in life.
What do we do?
We have a fantastic Akela and wonderful pack of kids, all enthusiastic and ready to learn - Take a look at our Blog - we get up to all sorts!
Who can volunteer?
Anyone over 18 years old, even if you don’t have a family member in Scouting. It’s best if you’re comfortable in the outdoors, you’re happy working with young people and you have or want to develop Scouting skills. Please note all volunteers are required to pass a free DBS child protection record check.
What else do we offer?
If you want to take Leadership further, the Scout Association offers an enormous amount of training - Link to Scout Association Training
